Tasks of Aquapol

The Executive Committee prepares the decision making process of the Council. The Executive Committee meets six times per year and bridges the gap between the Council´s activities and the day-to-day management activities of the Director, Secretary and Treasurer. 

The Council is responsible for decision making regarding:

  1. The objectives and tasks of the Association.
  2. The major operational activities of the Association.
  3. The expansion and development of the Association.
  4. The internal structure of the Association.
  5. The important financial decisions, including the yearly approval of the accounts and the payment of Director, Secretary and Treasurer (also see article 4.4).
  6. The tasks of Director, Secretary and Treasurer and regarding mandates to be given to these officials. The monitoring of the performance of these officials.

AQUAPOL working groups are established by the council. The number and tasking of working groups may vary over time and are subject to council decisions.Every working group is chaired by two council members, one acting as chairman and one as vice-chairman. For reasons of continuity, the vice-chairman will succeed the chairman after a period of two years. At the same time, a new vice-chairman will be appointed by the council.The chair person of a working group is responsible for progress of the working group.
